Congratulations to the following people for winning "Outstanding Soloist Awards" at this years Elmhurst Jazz Festival 2010!
Mike Kennedy, Vincent Starble, Adam Rongo, Sam Lauritsen, John Dorhauer, Hannah Ford, Jeff Cauter, Kyle Liss, Terry Pernell, and Billy VanDuzor.
The Ensemble was also recognized as one of the top ten groups out of over forty to receive an "Outstanding Performance" award as well.
Fall 2009
November18th FitzGerald's arrive by 7:30pm
November 22nd dress rehearsal with Butch Miles at 2pm Marks Hall
November 22nd Jazz Showcase concert at 7:30pm
November 30th Warren High School Depart from RU at 12:30-all black with black coats
Spring 2009
January 23rd Jazz Jamboree Jefferson Jr High (Liss, Cauter, Ford) (TRAVEL ON YOUR OWN)
February 6th Evanston Township Jazzfest (BUS TRIP)
Itinerary:
10:00am Depart RU (VIA BUS)
11:00am Evanston Township HS Jazz Festival (Rongo in charge of head count)
12:00 noon performance 45 minute slot (30 minutes of music)
3:00-4:30 JAM SESSION with NU people
4:30 clinic in auditorium
5:30 dinner ( somewhere fast via Bus) Rongo in charge of band as I will be with RPBB from here on out.
7:15 arrive back at ETHS for concert
9:30 return to RU with (Rongo in charge of head count)
February 22 Hold for visit to Champagne
February 23 Concert Harold Washington Library with guest band TBD
February 26th Elmhurst Jazz Festival (BUS TRIP)
February 27th Rolling Meadows Jazz Festival (BUS TRIP)
